It’s amazing just how evil Holly is, worming her way into the family simply to get money. This is how the situation appears as since the possibility of Ryan coming into the fore has emerged she is evidently covering her (financial) ass…
Kevin aiming to become partner at the firm continued in this episode with him facing a dilemma of being asked to leave Scotty at home as his boss didn’t know whether or not the client was gay-friendly or not. His boss dangled the partner prospect in front of Kevin’s nose putting him in a very difficult place. He ended up getting advice off Robert who said the “end justifies the means”. Is it right to say it’s fine to do what you need to do to make partner as once you are at the top you can make sure no other employee will have to do immoral things to reach the top again? I don’t think so and that kind of judgement from a politician is worrying…
Sol makes a decision which significantly effects Sarah. An argument ensues which for me Sarah has the right to be angry as if he had left another day he would have been able to help Sarah through the touch meeting which was becoming a mini showdown against Holly although perhaps he agreed with Holly’s arguments. I think this will propel Sarah to make her own momentous decision and I look forward to seeing where this takes her…
Justin is going through a tough time opening up to Rebecca about Iraq. He lapsed and had a drink but saw his sponsor who clearly persuaded him to tell Rebecca the bigger issue. They seem like a really good couple and as time goes by, I am getting less disgusted at them being together as there clearly is chemistry between the actors as well as the characters…
All in all, another cracker of an episode although still with an alarming amount of wine drinking!

BS 0302 Book Burning
As usual things with this show don’t get going until the family get together and in this episode Kitty has read a book and the whole family end up sharing snippets from the book, faxing it to one another and getting increasingly pissed that Kitty has written about them with easy-to-crack pseudonyms. An argument ensues at Kitty’s dinner party when there can’t be such an argument as it is for the social worker who is responsible for their adoption. It isn’t until after they have read it that they realise the book is really good. That was the mock-drama going on whilst the real drama was behind the scenes…
Holly entrusts Rebecca with full access to her two million dollar trust which makes Rebecca question her mother’s motives – Rebecca is oblivious to William’s other child, Ryan and I suspect she is doing this to cover her back and to ensure her daughter gets the money – something which is understandable as a mother. I cannot however believe that she is going behind everyone’s back and is trying to gain information on Ryan!! Bitch!

WD 0413 If You Work For a Living, Then Why Do You Kill Yourself Working? [Finale]
The DEA brings Nancy in for questioning which gets complicated by the chief investigator’s boyfriend being killed by Esteban’s men horrifically – he has no face. EUGH!
Then Nancy must explain things to Esteban and a lovely scene where you see so much of Nancy’s character as she is driving to what she thinks will be her death is on the phone ordering her son a gift basket. It’s so sad.
We make it to the finale and they have photos – photos of her meeting the DEA but Nancy has a photo to trump that – WOAH!

WD 0412 Till We Meet Again
Nancy can’t take it anymore so ends up speaking to the DEA and persuading them to bust the tunnel. Nancy plays it cool with Esteban and keeps a low radar so as not to get caught.
Celia sets out to find her elder daughter Quinn who I had forgotten even existed.
Things spiral downwards for Silas as Lisa’s ex husband comes into play… Shane starts drug dealing.
But at least Nancy has it all under control – until – wait – no – the ending is horrific. If you are a nervous disposition get the remote handy to pause the show – looks like things will finally catch up with Nancy… I have no idea how she will get out of this one…

WD 0411 Head Cheese
Nancy must deal with the aftermath of Shane’s (s)exploits, her out of body trip and more confrontation with Guillermo who is getting more and more anti-Nancy.
Celia moves from an expensive, good, luxurious rehab facility to a new, cheap, run down one. The statement about attitude is a classic Weeds moment.
Doug and Maria struggle with their relationship (as I thought they would) and they both turn to Andy for help.
Things are moving more and more quickly now and the usual build up of uneasy feelings is well underway.

WD 0410 The Love Circle Overlap
Nancy discovers the tunnel is being used for more than drugs – a fact which she is very uneasy about however Esteban allays her fears. Celia’s family stages an intervention after Isabel finds her with a needle sticking out of her forehead which was a horribly funny scene – the kind where you feel bad for laughing…
Andy locates Doug’s love, Maria and brings her across the border.
At home, Silas baby-sits whilst Shane loses his V with his two new girlfriends.
Things are falling apart, whilst Nancy is having an out of body experience with Esteban to cure him of headaches. Even though her character is likable, she has always been justifiable however now she really isn’t – she is a despicable mother.

WD 0409 Little Boats
Nancy and Esteban struggle to fit each other into their busy schedules with both of them having lots going on. Following Nancy’s absence from family life for the past few episodes things are running amok on the home front and there are a lot of issues to which she needs to attend… First, she isn’t happy with Silas’ new girlfriend as she doesn’t feel like this will end happily. Silas defiantly continues the business and starts selling the sandwiches from the cheese shop. Shane however has to have an awkward talk with Nancy about his new fantasies…
Andy and Doug continue to search for Doug’s love in Mexico where they are confronted by El Coyote, the bastardo of a coyote from earlier this season. I can’t help thinking what will happen if Doug finds his girl – they really cannot be a match – I mean who can be a match for Doug??
Really good as Nancy realises she is losing control of the whole family and she isn’t in control of where she is at. I get the impression she is worried… She should be.

WD 0408 I Am the Table
Andy and Doug successfully start their new business however they are doing it to look for one specific customer…
Nancy is absent from the entire goings on as both she and Esteban finally let their passion take control…
Silas gets a business offer which seems too good to be true – something which we know is never good in this season… Celia’s addiction continues to develop.
Everything is run of the mill, storyline-developing stuff with nothing spectacular to see here until: Shane’s first day at his new school. What a first impression!

WD 0407 Yes I Can
WOW, Silas continues to impress with his pecks. How often he can get his top off this season seems to be a running theme this season – not that I am complaining just even I have noticed that the top is off more often than he has lines. He gets it on with Lisa.
Celia discovering cheap medication at Mexican pharmacies is priceless in terms of comedy but worrying for the character. She already seems to be descending into drug addiction…
As for Shane discovering the old photos of Nancy – well – disturbing but strangely an enjoying storyline – a story which could only be enjoyable in Weeds…

90 0107 Hollywood Fever
This episode starts off with the arrival of Kimberly - who immediately defends into a bitch off with the ex new-girl Annie. Interesting entrance... There's a lot of sexual tension going on between Matthews and Kimberly towards the end - love the date as it's so not Mr Matthew's date material...
This episode revolves around couples having to care for a baby with Ethan and Annie being a couple forcing them to spend time together and getting to grips with their feelings. Bring it on I say!!
The issue of Sean - the illegitimate son of Tracey and Harry, is being forced on with Tracey wanting to hire a private eye now that she has no one left. Tracey is so forceful with the Sean issue and under with Harry she plants a smacked on Harry's lips.
Oh - and I love the gran!! A goat and Tijuana???!!!!
I don't understand why the staff seem oblivious to Adriana being high - I mean they are aware something is amiss but they can't see the blatantly obvious!! Are they not aware that Naomi is innocent?! It's super annoying because it's so obvious. Naomi is let down by Adriana - poor N - those words will come back to haunt her...
As the episode ended it was very dramatic.
But let's not leave on such a downer - Annie and Ethan almost kissed. Go on!!

WD 0406 Excellent Treasures
Isabel is back. She is always a good laugh challenging Celia in the ways that she needs to be challenged. I also think it’s pretty sweet how someone’s daughter can hate their mother so much.
Silas – what can I say? Someone give Hunter Parish a modelling contract.
Nancy follows the tunnel in the back of the shop and sees something – or rather someone she shouldn’t at the other end. WOW!

I must say, Celia was way to conveniently tied up in this episode but it was all still good stuff. Retail for Nancy isn’t as mundane as she thought it would be I don’t think.
Andy meanwhile finds himself with immigrants. Could this be the start of something new??

WD 0404 The Three Coolers
Doug turns up at the Botwin’s house continuing his trend of looking increasingly dishevelled as the show continues. I like Doug and it can only be good having more of the characters together reducing the need for the narration to chop and change.
I must comment that in the time between seasons three and four, Silas has become HOT. Hot as in smoking hot. I could have added bold to that adjective but that would be too silly and remove from his insane hotness. That boy has obtained a man’s body! The more chances Silas has to get his shirt off, the better.
I am still missing the old characters though… Heylia… AJ… Conrad… Marvin… In fact, I really miss AJ and Marvin a lot!
Still great stuff though. Getting better…

WD 0403 The Whole Blah Damn Thing
The line; "Get mommy a pillow" will be forever etched in my memory. EUGH! Nancy really is a hard nosed do anything bitch! Do not mess with her. She will kill you with a pillow.
Hmmm. Still a strange episode though as all of the main characters is everywhere and nothing is really linking up. Celia seems to be about to catch up with Nancy which will be interesting to see how this one turns out and how the two characters will relate to one another out of their home environment.

WD 0402 Lady’s a Charm
What with Nancy having to cross over into Mexico I can see the border playing a big role this season what with the characters close proximity to it. Surely that is a little political considering what was going on at the time of transmission. A little fun ensues as she heads to Mexico and does transportation (of something) over the border... It appears the border isn’t really a border at all, simply an obstacle...
Nancy finally got her comeuppance for drinking so much iced coffee with a toilet break in the car at the border... Funny as!
Still the show doesn't feel I quite right as I can't see what Nancy has got planned – but Nancy being Nancy she will have something good planned...

V 2008 The Dark Knight
I was worried going to see this that I would be disappointed as I saw it a little after everybody else and kept hearing how good it was. Well I must say I wasn’t disappointed, at all!
Ledger’s performance was truly breathtaking. Many people had discussed his performance as being something special but his portrayal of the Joker is in a much darker place compared to Nicholson’s. Making the pencil disappear was one of the most upsetting moments of cinema I have ever born witness to – and yet one of the most enlightening about the sinister and threatening nature of the Joker.
The Two-Face character was equally disturbing however I didn’t quite get how he went from being better than a good guy to being a sadistic killer but it was enjoyable all the same. I mean to say I understood why it happened, just not why there was a sudden snap change…
Bale’s Batman also is pretty good although it started to get a little annoying talking in a gruff voice all of the time. His story though is much more interesting than the old “classic” films as a darker character has far more depth – an unseen depth that you don’t know what the character could do.
I am not sure why older films are referred to the “classic” films as the Dark Knight truly is a classic film in the making.
A must see.

30 0301 Do-Over
The joy in which Liz greets Jack as he gets out the car is shared by me as I watch on – I genuinely adore this show. The jokes were on form tonight with the story setting up Liz’s adoption process whilst simultaneously restoring Jack to his rightful place as Head of East Coast Television and Microwave Programming which Devon Banks took from him at the end of the last season by marrying Kathy Geiss. I especially loved the line from (homosexually closeted gay) Banks; “Keep your friends close and your enemies so close that you are almost kissing.” Hehehe…
Predictably Liz’s adoption process doesn’t go entirely to plan – and it’s not because Frank did in fact change his hat…
A promising start only let down by it feeling rushed…
