This movie is so old. So old! The clothes, music, hair and slang that is being used is so dated now. It is clearly being made in a post Clueless world in terms of fashion and style.
10 Things cleverly uses stereotypes to quickly draw us into the characters before turning them on their head and we realise that the Kat Stratford (Styles) isn’t the hard-nosed bitch that she wants to be but in fact a warm woman who has been scarred from past experiences. Bianca Stratford (Oleynik), Kat’s sister we start off with her being a popularity obsessed bitch and we learn can also be caring.
The men in their lives are Patrick Verona (Heath) and Cameron James (Gordon-Levitt). Both the male leads are very good in their roles, especially Gordon-Levitt who is scene stealing; being a wimp and a dork is hard to do and garner respect; but he does make you emphasise with him.
It is a modern teenage classic that should be watched by anyone who gets the chance.
