GA 0322-0323 Grey's Anatomy; The Other Side Of This Life [1-2of2]

Addison being happy and free; involves her rushing of to CA USA to visit Oceanside Wellness Group.

Alert. Alert. Alert. Backdoor Pilot. Alert. Alert. Alert.

I do enjoy Addison's trip to Oceanside and it is much more comedic than Grey's Anatomy. But what I protest to is that the whole trip feels very forced. There really isn't that much requirement for her to go. And Naomi, her "best friend" even though they haven't spoken in a year. And the elevator? On the exterior shot where we see the Oceanside Wellness Group loco, it is clearly a low-rise building, so how can the elevator take forty five seconds? Where are they going, a nuclear bunker? And as for the voice in the lift, I couldn't work it out at first. I thought it was very (very) funny but then it got annoying; we are now going to hear in her mind? But the explanation was fabulously funny. I think the reason why the whole thing feels forced is because in scenes with Addison the whole thing makes sense but the moment they do scenes without her, it doesn't feel right. This is Grey's Anatomy, not Private Practice (although it does look reasonable).

It is also helped that their is a little eye candy in the office - Dell the receptionist / surfer dude is hot, but then when he took off his shirt, his nipples are really weird and I am not sure if this makes sense but don't seem to match is face. Good body though... But there seems to be chemistry - serious chemistry between him and Naomi. I would like to see where this one pans out...

Through the course of the episode she gets dragged into a fertility/neonatal situation and proves herself to the practice making it obvious to her that she has a place in the practice if she would want it. Meanwhile, her own fertility is not as it seems...

Wedding preparations are continuing with C and B's mothers coming to Seattle to plan the wedding. And C asks Callie to be bridesmaid and comedy begins to ensue. Things begin to get too much for Cristina who asks (very sweetly) "What happened to you and me in City Hall?" and the response is "I didn't think you were serious." UH OH!

Izzie and George kiss. Again. Then he decides to move to a different hospital. GROAN.

Meredith's step mum, Susan comes in to the walk-in clinic with hiccups which won't go away. Complications ensue with terrible consequences and an horrific reaction by Thatcher which leaves Meredith reeling. I cried.

10/10
