OK so the cast have been fast forwarded five years and there appears to be no Mike, no Julie, a (very) successful Bree, rather attractive Scavo twins who look as if they have just come straight out of an Abercrombie and Fitch ad and a fat Gaby.
So Susan, Lynette, Bree and Gaby have stuck by Katherine in their alibi lie after she shot her ex husband. It’s nice to see that some secrets are able to remain secrets in Wisteria Lane. Although Katherine is free from jail, she is getting jealous over Bree’s success. As for Lynette, the episode revolves around her catching the twins leading illegal activities at their restaurants. Gaby struggles with motherhood as she begins to realise that her daughter has a (slight) weight problem. And we learn that Mike and Susan were in an accident and that they killed a mother and child coming the other way.
Edie makes a return to Wisteria Lane in an eye opening fashion as Mrs. Dave Williams, expertly played by Neal McDonough who manages to give a quiet menacing performance where you instantly believe anything is possible. And it all does seem to be too good to be true – at the end of the episode he receives a call from a psychiatrist and we learn that he has anger management issues. He obviously has this years secret then…
At present, I am guessing that his secret is that he was the husband of the lady who was killed in the car crash with Susan and Mike… Hmmmm we shall see!
It was a good episode although it didn’t suit the flashbacks as they were itty bitty rather than for longer periods like they usually do…
