Nuns being sick with a tropical disease is an interesting tangent for the show to go, with Sam and Naomi in the convent trying to work out where a typhoid outbreak has originated but the show questions whether or not God punishes individuals for bad decisions (code for are we in the dog house for having sex). They both (especially N) seem to come to the conclusion that God is punishing them; and only when the priest points out that in the eyes of the Lord (and Church) they were never divorced do they realise then God isn't punishing them.
I used to be but am no longer a religious person which is why I find the Christian idea of God "punishing people" such an interesting concept; if God offers unwavering forgiveness owing to his sacrifice for us, then surely this "punishing" concept is much closer to karma which is something else entirely.
Back to the show, Addison meanwhile is dating "Trunk" which ends hilariously, and her clinging to "Bat Girl" is - well - typical of her wanting babies. Poor Poor Addison...
