The episode's opening sequence was horrific! All that needs to be said. I yelled nooo at the screen!
"No talking unless it's medical!" This was Christina's response to Lexy as she was mining for information, horrified to discover that George and Meredith slept together. Hmmmmmm. She ain't happy...
Erica is trying to learn how to teach better. I quite like her character; outrageously clever and confident with alarming crises of self-belief...
There are politics on two levels on this episode; the hospitals teaching status has plummeted from number 2 to number 12 so trauma cases are going to their rival hospital in the city; Mercia West. As a result, the characters persuaded some patients to insist that other patients who matched the description of their husbands come to Seattle grace rather than Mercia West. On a bigger level, the issue of healthcare was raised; or rather the technicalities of not having it. If someone had lost their job and left a woman stranded then she is screwed. But vote for Obama in five weeks and she'll be fine (I felt a little put out by the insinuations). It seemed just a little obvious…
Rose being bitter was fabulous; especially when she stabbed McDreamy in the hand. Then she realizes she can't go on like this; so she announces she is leaving. Does nobody work out their notice at Seattle Grace Hospital?!
7/10 (A satisfactory return)
