GA 0415 Losing My Mind

Meredith is desperate to give up on her therapy. Thankfully, the psych refuses to allow her to give up. Meredith is now confronting the issues; real painful issues that her character is used to running away from. The situation is great character stuff. I am aware a lot of people dislike Meredith but I really enjoy watching her. She is a great surgeon in the making without trying; Christina tries (very very hard), George is trying, Izzie is trying, Alex is trying but Meredith just is – she is a good surgeon even though she is constantly preoccupied with McDreamy.

And this episode’s patient for the trial was amazingly done – the story was about a lady who went on a cruise and met this gentleman with whom she started dating. Greta’s sister tells the doctors that he is a probably a figment of her imagination as no one has seen him bar Greta – and brain tumours do alter memories. Meredith wants to perform the surgery immediately not believing Greta however McDreamy insists on waiting. The whole dilemma becomes an argument between them about believing and not believing in love. Then afterwards, the trial is not successful Andre turns up to find Greta in a coma. Meredith is shaken after realising that true love may exist, revealing at the end of the episode something significant about her mother.

Alex learns that Rebecca is not quite what she is saying but she seems to be getting more and more Wacko. It’s quite disturbing as you can see with each scene the character becoming more distant. Bailey learns she can’t impose her will everywhere and has a mah-hooos-ive argument with her husband. Could it be over?

Brilliant stuff.
