As for Nate and Vanessa, I couldn't see how it work in the first place, and now the duchess knows and has stuck her oar in, I think it's a definite no no; at least for the time being... Vanessa is a character I find hard to warm to; she does nothing but whine; but I found myself feeling sorry for her for the first time.
There were a few lame things going on though... For a start, Blair's excuse of; I thought it was you to Marcus was as lame as can be; but his punch to chuck was less than lame! Impressive!
Another comic line was uttered by Jenny about Ms Waldorf's dress design; "[it would look] cute to a pilgrim funeral". Hahaha! But then the lameness of blackout leaving jenny trapped with Ms Waldorf to let her change her mind about firing Jenny? Űber convenient... And then Rufus turns up with date and ends up getting sandwiches for jenny and ms waldorf?! LAME!!!!
A really good episode, even if it had it's lame aspects...
